Ariadna rises!

Hey!

Had a nice little painting evening with Colouristo. This is a part of the outcome:

I decided to keep the uniform very simple, but I think it works good on the mini. And I tried some NMM once more, which is much easier to paint on such small detail in my opinion.

Van Zant finished

Good Morning!!

I´ve got something finished again.
It is Van Zant from Infinity. I started with it a view weeks ago with the plan to
paint it for the gaming table. When i was finished with it i thougt that the gaming
table would not be the right place for it and found an old base that i´ve made long time ago.
I was very happy with the result when it was finished, but have a look on it.

Hey there,

I'm still working hard for the Bananalicious contest (click) but right now it seems like nothing will get finished in time. ^^
I still need two figures for the historic category. One piece will be a British Officer from the Zulu Wars by Pegaso Models. Here's what I've got so far:

I started with a lot of airbrushing using GW paints and Tamyia X-20A Thinner. (This mix seems to work better in my airbrush than anything mixed with Vallejo paints)
Here's the colours from shadow to highlight:

Jacket: Rhinox Hide -> Khorne Red -> Mephiston Red
Trousers: Abbadon Black -> + Catachan Green -> + Skull White

After that I switched to brushes. I worked on the face with oils after an acrylic basecoat. I still have to redo that, I messed it up a little.


Leather: Chocolat Brown (VMC) -> British Tancrew (Panzer Aces) -> Ivory
Cheststraps and helmet: British Tankcrew -> more and more Ivory (British Tancrew is a nice colour for anything, almost as good as Dark Sea Blue ^^)


I think the cloth parts need a lot more contrast, the leather is still very messy and the darklining is a little to strong right now. Also, the face sucks, gotta be honest with it. ;)
 All in all I've got a lot of smoothing my blendings ahead of me....

I also tried some SENMM on one of Colouristos Ariadna figures (haven't done this in ages). I think it gives the mini a nice comic-look:

Friday night painting WIPs

Hey,

I took some pics during tonights painting evening...

I was painting one of Coloristo's Ariadna minis. Still quite messy...

Colouristo himself was working on his interpretation of a pumpkin painter mascot. ;)

me wants infinity too! :P

Too kick Darkezekiel's Haqqislam army in its derrier, I've started to paint up my own infinity army. It's gonna be ALEPH. I like the idea of an AI running wild (although they'd of course never ever turn on humanity, if you want to believe that hehe).

Started with one of the myrmidons. I'm going for a very limited palette, tint of purple in every colour I use.

Infinity Army

Hi!!

my Infinity army is growing very fast and it is so funny to paint them because of all the details.
I have used the airbrush for the base colour. Next step i used a black/brown mix with a lot of water to make a wash. After that i was painting the shadows and highlights and and made the details.
I optimized the whole painting process so that only need about 2-3 hours for each mini because it´s a tabletop army for playing and not a showcase project. I´m very happy with the result and i hope you like it too. There are much more miniatures on my painting table, so stay tuned.

ps: the Sniper on the last pictures was painted by Andi (Androsch) as a christmas present, thank you!

Infinity

Hey!!

At Friday´s painting session we talked about the Infinity game at the tabletopclub near my home
and i decide to make my own small Infinity gang. I was lucky because one of the clubmembers sold me his miniatures and so i was able to start with cleaning the miniatures. At Saturday i was painting my first mini.

Sorry for the bad fotos but i made them without good light just with the camera flashlight.
